Fashion Stylist Lanee Nye

We had a great meeting! Jacque, our mentor mom gave a little devotion on cupcakes. Are you sweet with sprinkles or are you dry inside?

We also had one of our former MOPs moms, Lanee Nye, who is a Fashion Stylist come and give us some tips on things to wear according to our body shape, and hair and eye color. (no pictures :() And of what not to wear. Thank you so much for the great tips Lanee! 

We love having brother Ronnie come speak for our Christmas meeting. We are always loved by Jesus!

We played a game where you had to divide up into different categories. It was neat seeing what you had in common with other moms....

Great job on the game Jessica! You are so fun!

Don't forget about the Christmas party this Sunday at 3 at Leslie White's house!

Spa day!

Yesterday Rebecca Campora shared a little bit about her testimony. Rebecca your husband was a true hero! You are amazing & I know he would be so proud of you!

She also shared some of her beauty supplies. We had a spa day and we had fun with it. I loved that she shared the importance of having a quiet time and how she has grown in Christ by having one. I also loved that she had us do a relaxation time with some supplies on and we had our own time with the Lord.

Couponing with Alice Mainer

Alice Mainer gave us tips on couponing today.
She gave 5 strategies for coupons and sales:
1. Stack coupons and sales.
2. Wait for clearance sales.
3. Buy the smallest items.
4. Buy multiples of items.
5. Watch for Buy 1 Get 1 Free sales.

Also here are just a few websites to go to for couponing: coupons galore, libbys, wild for wags, coupon karma, couponing to disney, december coupon lady, melissas bargains, pinching your pennies, super coupon lady.

Sharon Scogin- anxiety

Today a former MOPS mom Sharon Scogin spoke and shared a testimony on anxiety. Thank you so much for sharing today Sharon. Thankful for your heart for the MOPS ministry. Remember to give all of your anxieties to The Lord!

We had such a great turn out today! I hope the rest of your week is great!

1st Meeting of 2014-'15

We had a great 1st meeting back at MOPS!

We had 42 women today! AMAZING!! As always we enjoyed a great, childless, brunch with great fellowship.

Jacque spoke on friendship. She shared the importance of pursuing friends and not always expecting them to come to you. She gave a great analogy using the ingredients of chocolate chip cookies.

We played a game similar to speed dating which was a great way to meet some of the moms that you didn't know... We would each answer a question that was asked and that lead to other discussions.

Chocolate Chip Cookies of Friendship...

Shortening- it adds volume to your friendship

Sugar- adds sweetness to our lives

Egg- bonds you together

Vanilla- adds flavor 

Flour- adds substance (we need something solid)

Baking Soda- levens or lightens the load (lightens our burdens)

Salt- adds flavor

Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Nuts- They are optional but don't we all need them! :)

As amazing as it is to have that go-to person, remember that Christ should be the one we 1st go to.
